Description:
There were two operating rooms at C-Med, where a priority for use was established. Chest and abdominal injuries took the highest priority. Head injuries were at a lower level due to the reality that they consumed excessive OR time and had a higher mortality. The surrounding sand bags were intended to be protection from exploding incoming mortar rounds. A direct hit was an accepted risk.
