UCLA Study: Brain Can Rewire Itself After Damage
A team of researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, have discovered that when the brain’s main center for learning and memory formation is damaged, new neural circuits develop to make up for the lost function. As reported in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, these findings could help scientists design new treatments for conditions that cause damage to the brain.
