Five “Sudden Symptoms” of Stroke May Save a Young Life
As the fourth-leading cause of death in the United States, strokes are affecting more individuals earlier in life. Close to 20 percent of strokes occur in those under the age of 55, and in the last ten years, the average age of stroke occurrence has dropped from 71 to 69. The Stroke Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles has released a list of the “Five Sudden, Severe Symptoms of Stroke” to increase public awareness of when to seek immediate medical attention.
