Phase I Trial Results of Neural Stem Cell Transplantation Encouraging Those Suffering from Pelizaeus-Merzbacher Disease
Research findings offered today during the 81st American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) Annual Scientific Meeting show human central nervous system stem cells (HuCNS-SC) foster myelin formation following HuCNS-SC transplantation. “There are large opportunities for this to impact individuals who have suffered from a stroke or traumatic brain injury,” researchers say.
