Patients with Unruptured Aneurysms Have Reduced Quality of Life, Even after Treatment
Patients with unruptured brain aneurysms experience significant reductions in several areas of quality of life, especially physical functioning — that’s according to a study in the April issue of Neurosurgery, the official journal of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).
Most aspects of quality of life are reduced even after successful aneurysm treatment, reports new research from Julie E. Buijs and colleagues of University Medical Center, Utrecht, Netherlands. These findings may have crucial implications for neurosurgeons and their patients in making decisions about treatment for unruptured aneurysms.
