I am a neurosurgeon by profession and a documentary filmmaker by passion. As much as I enjoy being a neurosurgeon, I must say filmmaking gives me pleasure and satisfaction in the creative facet of my life. Once in a while, I wonder which I like looking at more — the brain and nerves through the lens of an operative microscope or the world through the lens of a video camera. I enjoy both very much. I didn’t go to film school and never planned on becoming a documentary filmmaker. My passion to producing documentaries was an accidental byproduct of an attempt to author my second book.
