Description:
The naval hospital’s operating rooms: The Quonset contained one OR on each end. This hospital’s medical staffing included four general surgeons, three orthopaedists, one neurosurgeon and four anesthesiologists. In addition, six general medical officers were on board, (MDs who finished internship, yet had no residency training). Finally, 35-plus Navy corpsmen were assigned.
